Finally dug it up and of course it was dead. Out of date and no updates, so worthless. Heard about Baofeng handhelds, and they were programable. Found a couple for less than $22 each, in different colors. I tried to program one using &#8220;CHIRP&#8221; and a low cost cable, never got it to work. Ordered another, hopefully better cable and will try again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It all looks good. Low cost. Small and fairly easy to use. Programming however is another story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"140\" height=\"140\" src=\"https:\/\/www.n4n.us\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/p-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-428\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"140\" height=\"140\" src=\"https:\/\/www.n4n.us\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/p.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-429\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Hopefully new cable resolves my issues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UPDATE<\/strong>: Yes using a BoaFeng Labled cable worked the first time every time. So I do not recommend buying or trying to use a knock off.
